Want to know what a fairytale couple and wedding look like? Allow us to introduce Katherine and Cory. As the day of coordinators for their Houston wedding, we were taken aback by the beauty surrounding the entire day. Katherine was one of the sweetest, most selfless brides our Houston Wedding Planners ever had the pleasure of working with. Both she and Cory made sure that everyone had an enjoyable night, all while bringing a little bit of Alabama to Houston for their out of town guests. As college rivals in Alabama, they came together to prove that it’s possible to have an amicably divided house!
Real Wedding: Katherine & Cory
We got in touch with Katherine to hear all about her Houston wedding planning experience with Pomp & Circumstance.
What was your favorite part of the planning?
My favorite part about planning was getting to plan for everything that was special to Cory and I. I was able to choose the different elements of the ceremony and reception that were what we wanted and what I had always dreamed of. I loved having such a huge role in the planning process, and I felt like our wedding day was better than I could have ever imagined.
What was your favorite moment from the wedding day?
My favorite moment was getting on stage with the band and dancing the night away. On that stage, I had such a wide range of emotions. These emotions included the realization that I had just married my best friend, knowing that everything during the day had gone perfectly and smoothly and then taking a second to capture a mental image of dancing with all of our closest friends and family to our incredible band. It was something I will never forget!
What is one thing you knew you had to have to make your wedding very “Katherine and Cory”?
The most important thing to me was for everyone to feel a sense of "peace" on our wedding day. From choosing the venue to all of our vendors, I made sure that with each vendor I felt a sense of peace and comfort. I wanted people to come to our wedding and know that God's hand was in our marriage, and for every aspect of our wedding to glorify Him.

On the wedding day, my best advice would be to STOP worrying and know that everything will be just perfect.
